Italian Goulash

I am a big fan of one-pot dinners. I may not be able to get everyone in my family to eat the same thing, but at least I can toss together a big pan of food for my husband, myself, and our daughter, who will eat contentedly while our boys munch on toast or apples or whatever. One meal for 3 people out of 5 is a good step for me! And while I am in love with the original One Skillet Cheesy Beef and Macaroni that inspired the technique behind this dish, I have had to adapt almost all of my recipes since my husband cut out dairy. For this dish, I was craving bold, Italian flavors, so I combined my bolognese sauce with some chicken broth and elbow pasta, and voila! Italian Goulash was born.

Instructions
  1. Heat 2 Tbsp olive oil in a skillet and add the beef and sausage until heated through.
  2. Add remaining olive oil, dehydrated onion, and other spices and stir until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add the rest of the ingredients, stir well, and bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat, cover the pan, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the pasta is cooked through.

Instructions
  1. In a blender, combine the eggs, oil, vanilla, zucchini, and black beans. Blend until smooth.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients. Add wet mixture to dry ingredients and stir until smooth. Add chocolate chips.
  3. Bake in a 9 x 13 pan at 375° for 17-23 minutes. Remove when a toothpick comes out clean.

Hi! I’m Nancy and I love to teach and eat good food!
I have spent the last 19 years as a professional cake decorator and before my youngest chef was born, I taught Wilton Method cake decorating classes for 9 years. I really enjoy sharing my skills with others. I have two chefs in training of my own, Kylee who is 11 and Cody who is 9. I love any food that includes bacon! Even desserts! Although I feel health and nutrition are keys to a happy life, it’s good to splurge once in a while with good ol’ greasy bacon. Being in the bakery industry for so long has built my passion for the good stuff, desserts, but it has also built my passion for food in general. We all need to eat, so why not eat good?
I have a vested interest in special dietary needs such as gluten/grain free, dairy free, sugar free and allergy friendly. I drastically changed my diet after being diagnosed with Crohn’s disease in early 2015 and have kept myself off medication and out of the hospital. I strongly believe in the healing power of food. Online Parties at a Glance

In addition to a more “traditional” home tasting, Thrive Life recently introduced a new program called Party Connect. Party Connect makes it super easy to share Thrive online and earn rewards as a hostess.

With Party Connect in place, a host or hostess can work with a consultant to plan a Thrive Life event. This can range from having a few girls over for a girl’s night to gathering a large group for a class on, say, cooking with freeze-dried food or storing healthy foods for emergencies. Thrive Life products appeal to a wide range of people, and with some intentional hosting and a plan in place, a Thrive Life event can be fun and fulfilling for anyone.

Party Connect also provides a ton of opportunities to share and promote your event during the 3 phases: pre-party, party, and after party. There are links and graphics to share through e-mail and Facebook, and your consultant can help you with paper invitations and tips on calling people and gathering RSVPs. During the pre-party phase, your party link will basically have a “coming soon” page that gets people excited about your event. At the scheduled time of your event your link will open and people can begin shopping for their favorite Thrive Life products. After your party opens, your friends and family have 7 days to continue placing orders through your link before it closes. All the orders made through your live link are automatically tied to your party, meaning you will receive hostess credit for them.  Here are the benefits:

Just like a Thrive Life home tasting, a Thrive Life online event can be incredibly successful or basically pointless. If you just sign up to host and send out a few random links to a mass e-mail list, no one’s going to respond. And while you can earn benefits on your own purchases, the point of a party is to share Thrive and bring in new customers, so you’ll need an order outside of your own to qualify for hostess benefits. Similarly, while you can earn $100 in half-off for having friends book a party, you can’t just pretend there’s another party-that hostess will have to have an order from her own party before your 1/2 off booking credit is unlocked. Thrive Life is very generous with their hostess benefits, but they need something in return. Mostly, your enthusiasm and love for Thrive Life, which is always contagious!

So, just a quick recap. An online party is a great way to earn free and half-off groceries. Working with a consultant to learn how to host effectively will greatly increase your chances of earning a substantial amount of benefits. My parties so far are typically around $40-70 dollars of free food and $100-200 of half-off food. It’s really fun when my hostesses get a shopping spree and can get everything on their list for a fraction of the retail price.

It’s Not Complicated

It’s easy to fall in love with Thrive Life. It’s easy to earn free and half-off groceries with Thrive life. And it’s easy to be a Thrive Life consultant.

To become a consultant, you simply buy a kit of your choice, set up a $50Q, and off you go! I personally recommend spending the extra $10 a month on a website, but that is technically optional.

There are no minimums or quotas to meet. The more you buy, and the more your friends buy, the more you earn. There is a ton of support and training available, whether you just want to cover the cost of your monthly Q, earn some extra spending cash each month, or even start a full-fledged home business.

My Consultant Story

When I first found Thrive Life foods in September 2015, it just made a ton of sense to me to join right away as a consultant. I had already been looking for foods with this flavor, nutrition, and convenience. I knew I would always spend money on food every month, so I might as well be rewarded for spending at least $50 at Thrive Life. And I knew I could afford more food more quickly if I worked as a consultant and shared with family and friends.

Even with an initial reluctance to promote anything due to some negative past experiences with direct sales, I earned hundreds of dollars of free food in my first few months with hostess benefits and fast track awards. I was able to help pay for more Christmas presents my first year, which always feels nice on a super tight budget. Then, I decided to mostly just take orders from family and friends to cover the cost of my Q while we moved around a few times. Now, I’m ready to work my business regularly and earn an income from home.

At each “level” of my Thrive Life journey, I have received great support and encouragement to reach whatever goals I set for myself. Thrive Life has provided the tools and the commission plan to help me along the way.

Thrive Life Foods are Budget Friendly

There are a lot of perspectives when it comes to Thrive Life being budget-friendly. For some people the savings are immediately apparent, especially for those with larger food budgets who can cut down on fast food and extra shopping trips. For some people, the savings are more cumulative as it becomes easier to build a home store and really keep enough food on hand to overcome the overwhelm of cooking every day.

It’s certainly a thought adjustment to start buying so many foods in pantry cans and #10 cans, and to try and decide what is most cost efficient for your family. For me, I see the most direct savings from things like green onions, green chili peppers, tomato powder, and chopped onions. And I am happy to find ways to share Thrive so that I can earn more of the “fun stuff,” like raspberries, mangoes, and coconut bites.

3 Tips for Hosting a Successful Thrive Life Party

If you’re ready to host your own Thrive Life event, you can head over to my website and request information or choose a date today. I will be in touch to plan out your specific event, but to begin that process, here are 3 tips for hosting a successful Thrive Life Party:

  1. Think about why YOU love Thrive Life foods so much. Is it because they save you time in meal prep? Because they have simple ingredient lists? Because they are shipped to your door? Think about a few main reasons why you love Thrive Life, and be ready to share those as you invite your friends to the event. This gives a much more personal and authentic feel to your invitation, which will result in more people being willing to attend and participate.
  2. Consider inviting friends over to taste a few Thrive Life samples and whip up some Magic Chicken Salad or perhaps a quick Thai Coconut Soup. If I am within a reasonable driving distance, I would love to come do a live presentation for you. An in-home presentation is a wonderful way to help people understand the magic of freeze-dried food.
  3. Create a Facebook event to coincide with your party. You will also have a personal shopping link that is open for a week, and I can post useful tips and information, as well as answer questions from your party guests. A Facebook event is another great way to share our enthusiasm for Thrive Life and create an open, fun environment for people to ask questions, get help, and put in their orders.

Earn Rewards Points as a Q Club Member

There are several ways to earn free groceries with Thrive Life. The most hand-off method is by earning Q points as a member of the Q club.

Thrive Life’s Q Club membership has several perks. Q club members receive access to a monthly Q-pon, which means that every month you can stock up on 1 deeply discounted item. Q club members are also enrolled in a 3% rewards program where you earn Q club points that accumulate for free products. In other words, for every dollar you spend in your Q, you earn 3% back. You can redeem these points at any time on a separate order, and they do not expire as long as it has not been over 6 months since your last Q shipment.

There are 2 ways to join the Q club:

  1. Take advantage of the Q Club Promotion. For anyone who begins a Q with a budget of $100 or more, you are automatically enrolled in the Q club. This promotion also applies to any consultants; buying a consultant kit and starting a Q of $50 or more qualifies you for automatic enrollment for the Q Club.
  2. If you do not take advantage of the Q club promotion, there is a 1-time fee of $79.99 to join the Q club (meaning there is no annual renewal fee). Once you’re in the Q club, you’re in for life.

My Own “First Foods” Story

When my oldest son started solid foods, I didn’t even know I could make my own. Thrive Life foods for Camping and Hiking

Today I want to share with you some ideas of how to use Thrive Life foods while camping or hiking. While I have very limited personal camping and hiking experience, my husband was a Scout master for several years, and loves the outdoors. We’re both excited that I found Thrive Life foods, especially since he’s lactose intolerant and has other food sensitivities that used to make it incredibly difficult to find “camping food” that wouldn’t make him sick.

Thrive Life foods are perfect for camping and hiking because they are lightweight, refresh easily, and can be assembled before hand into “just add water” meals. Plus, Thrive Life foods are higher quality than just about anything else I can find on the market. They are non-GMO, vine-ripened, and taste farm fresh.
